North American Union?

I was watching the State of the Union address this past Monday (like many others hopefully), and something caught my attention. President Bush mention a Summit that would be held this April in New Orleans that included the U.S., Mexico and Canada. I did some digging around, and found some pretty disturbing information. Please view this video.

This is indeed worrisome. The candidate I support, Ron Paul, has been talking about the NAU for a quite a while now, only to labeled as a conspiracy theorist. Maybe it's not as bad as this video makes it out to be.

I hope not. There are several disturbing videos on YouTube that elaborate on some scary scenarios/conspiracies. I'm not too big on all of that stuff, but who knows what a government is capable of? There has been foundations laid for the monetary unit "the Amero." Because of the falling value of the dollar, I would not be surprised if this U.S. follows suit with the EU on this one.

Ryan, You call yourself conservative, what are you doing listening to this Lou Dobbs quack? This is narrow minded point of view is called protectionism or Isolationism. We cannot survive without foreign partners and it’s a lot better then giving them aid every year. If America is to compete in a vastly changing global world market, we need these kinds of agreements. Look at the price of the Euro compared to the US dollar right now. Don’t believe everything you read or see on you tube.

First, who is greatuncle? Second, when did I say I was a conservative? Technically, my beliefs are of moderate nature. "Globalizing" with Mexico and Canada is not the answer to the falling value of the dollar. That falls on the American public. For every dollar spent, we become two dollars in debt. This scenario sounds like a bait and switch ideology to me. Taking away our sovereignty as a nation would do more harm than good. The transition alone could cripple the stock market.

Hi Ryan, First what other uncle do you have that would take the time to read your blog and then write to you. Second, I did not mean to insult or label you. Laid back is what you called yourself. I am really just trying to protect you. There is a conspiracy movie out called Zeitgeist that features the Lou Dobbs video and it pushes freedom of speech a little too far. In reverse order it claims that the whole world will be under one central government, after the Amero,Euro & Asio unions, that all wars were set up for personal and government monetary gains, that the Bush administration blew up the World Trade Towers, and the movie starts with the theory that Jesus Christ did not exist. There of course is no truth to any of it. So be careful who you quote, I love you guys and don't want to see you get hurt. Ed

Ed,
I appreciate you reading my blog. I wasn't sure who it was by the screen name. For example, the blogger cool dad (above) is not Kevin. So, I was just checking to see who it was. I am aware of the movie you referenced and have no intentions on believing it (or viewing it). There is always an underground movement that uses conspiracy theories to rattle the sword. I was just bringing up a point of interest to those who read here. The Lou Dobbs video (not a big fan of CNN anyways) just popped up when doing some research into the summit meeting in New Orleans. I'm sure the meeting is to discuss trade and border security. Nothing abnormal. If it turns out to be any different, I will be the first to march on Washington! Thanks for reading again.
