President Barack Obama

This picture could go one of two ways. First, Barack Obama's liberal agenda could destroy the very make-up of what makes us American. Second, he could actually do what he has promised for 21 months (moved to a centrist position) and not what he has actually done in his short political career. His political philosophies are dangerous to free market capitalism. In his "victory speech," he was already speaking as if he promised too much.

As for John McCain:

From a blogger friend:

"There is much to be learned from John McCain. He has proven to be a man of great integrity among many other things:

He is an example of unwavering standards
He is an example of a straight talker - one who doesn't see the need to dance around issues
He is an example of one's actions matching their words
He is an example of what it means to fight for America
He is an example of what it means to uphold the morals that this nation was built upon
He is an example of strong character
He is an example of a truly remarkable man
He is an example of HUMILITY
He is an example of what it looks like to have a servants heart
He is an example of what it means to be AMERICAN.

Although he did not win, I'm honored to have supported him throughout this entire election...

Thank you John McCain for the example you have proven to be. Americans are sure going to need it in these coming years."

You picked up on the symbolism...

Ryan-

I know I told you not to comment on my blog about politics any more, but really a nuclear explosion. Is this the way that you teacher your junior high students how to be a respectable, graveful loser. Yes, John McCain had a great speech last night and went out with grace. Take note...

Carrie,

Take note?

I'd appreciate it if you stuck to your word.

Yes, a picture of a nuclear test explosion. How "loser" like of me.

Yes, I teach my students about symbolism. I do not teach them how to be losers. In this case, the "explosion" is used to symbolize either a good or bad outcome regarding an Obama presidency. Let us both find out what that outcome is before you start leaving trivial comments on my blog that have no relevance.

I continue to pray for our country.

It's a picture. The election is over.

Move on.

Move on...By the picture you sure have not. That really scares me if you think a nuclear explosion is "good or bad". How can there be any good in that. Wrong kind of example.

Carrie,

Look, what do you want?

If you don't understand it (which it appears that you do not), then don't comment.

It has nothing to do with a nuclear bomb. Nothing. It is being used as symbolism in regards to widespread effects. I say that in the first paragraph of the post.

Again, i think it is time to move on. I have. I'm looking forward to 2012.

Thanks for stopping by.

ryan,
i have come to a few conclusions looking all through your blog:
1: you are very intelligent
2: i agree with almost everything you say
3: i disagree strongly with how you say it: in a condescending manner towards anyone that disagrees with you.
4: conservatives like you are the ones that will make it impossible for the rest of us conservatives to bridge the gap between the left and the right.

"3: i disagree strongly with how you say it: in a condescending manner towards anyone that disagrees with you."

Examples?

It's awfully hard to accuse someone of being condescending on the Internet. Tone is hard to judge and that is a pretty big accusation. Please give me examples of how I was condescending during these discussions. How, when two different views are being discussed, are they both not condescending? How can one be over the other?
